When the last iteration of the upcoming iOS 11, the much-awaited iOS 10 launched, it was much talked about, so much so that there was great critical and commercial acclaim as well. In time, however, we developed a bit of knowledge on the iOS 10 and realized that there were a few problems as well. This led us to one very important missing feature, that of the dark mode, sometimes also known as the night mode, in that version. We believe that soon, the list of the iOS 11 features will carry this mode. This is a guide you can use to activate it.
How to activate iOS 11 Dark Mode
The steps you see below are very easy to use and can be carried out by even technologically non-savvy people. Follow them very carefully. Before that, however, it is important to know exactly what is the dark mode in iOS 11.
Simply put, if you are in a movie theatre, and the movie starts playing, and at that moment, you have a very important notification which you simply cannot refuse, you have to attend to your phone, right? Well, in order to not annoy your fellow moviegoers, you will need to have something up your sleeve to make sure that the dark environment remains dark. This in itself is the dark mode. It turns the entire screen into a low-light area which is a helpful feature.
In iOS 11, we have managed to identify the Smart Invert feature, which acts very similarly to the dark mode in other platforms. This is definitely easy to use. Share this guide widely.
Step 1.Go to Settings. Tap on General.
Step 2: Tap on accessibility
Step 3: Tap on display accommodation.
Step 4: Tap Invert Colors.
Step 6: Here, you will reach two options that are on offer. But do not worry, here too we have developed a method for you. For one, we can see that the two options are Smart Invert and Classic Invert. In classic invert, which has existed for some time now, the colors are simply inverted and there is nothing dark mode-ish about it. In smart invert, you will find that the dark or night mode feature us well established. So, we advise that you go for the smart invert mode.
Step 7: Toggle the switch next to Smart Invert. Now, you will find that the dark mode feature too is activated on your device. Note that the dark mode for iOS 11 is one of those rare instances where Apple truly is well beyond what the competitors offer.
When iOS 11 dark mode is enabled, you can safely opt for it as it will save your eyes, check battery use, and will also help you retain peace of mind in a theatre!
