iOS 12 Rumor Roundup :Expected Features and Release Date, Download, update and Concept design
iOS 12 Release date: iOS 11 was released this year at the WWDC 17 in the month of June. Next in line is iOS 12 that is expected to release in the coming year i.e. 2018. Just like every year we are expecting iOS 12 to be released in the WWDC 2018 where Apple is going to come up with the first version of the OS followed by the several beta versions that will be made available to app developers while Apple’s developers will be still working on the weaknesses that would emerge as they start using the OS. Ultimately we would see the updated beta version of iOS 12 rolling out with the next generation iPhone 9. This is trend that Apple follows every year and we are pretty sure that it will be same for 2018.
Let us now ponder upon the changes and innovations that we would like to see in the next generation iOS 12. An iOS user would definitely not complain about that the OS is complicated as s/he is accustomed to it, but for a newbie it will be definitely a bit complicated. So the first and foremost thing that comes to our mind when we think of iOS 12 is simplicity. We look forward to see this operating system to be very simple and user friendly.
iOS 12 features/wishlist
It is time to bid adieu to the trade mark home button of iPhones and replace it with a virtual home button on the screen of the phone itself. It will definitely add on to the size of the screen. On the left and right of the home button will be the back button and virtual button to change or remove apps. The presence of this three buttons is definitely going to make the operation of the phone much easier than what it is at present.
Managing apps can be much easier in iOS 12 due the presence of app switcher. You can simply double press on the app switcher button and all the recently used apps will appear on the screen. Either you can delete the all apps at once by pressing clear all or click on the particular app that you want to use right now.
We hope iOS 12 will come with the capability whereby we can lock individual apps so that the users privacy can be maintained.
We would like to see an iOS 12 that can allow more than one user to use the same device without hampering the main user’s privacy. iOS 12 must come with some settings whereby it will be possible to create two or more profiles in the same device. The main user will have access on the whole phone, whereas the second user’s access can be limited to only those apps that s/he will require to use.
All the apps of the iPhone come in white background and the write up are in black. We would be glad if iOS 12 comes a reverse color mode as well i.e. a dark background with white fonts. In a comparatively dark room or dark environment, a dark mode is much more soothing to the eyes in comparison to the white color. We would be glad if the users are provided with both the options to choose from according to their preference.
One of the basic problems that all iOS users face it lack of using the phone in the way they want to use it. Many unnecessary apps come inbuilt and it is not possible for the users to delete them. Let alone delete them, iPhone users does not even the option of arranging the apps according to their own convenience. This much freedom Apple developers can and should provide to all their users.
This feature is already present in iPads whereby you can use two apps in the same screen. Since the iPhones have become quite big in size, the split screen feature can be introduced in iPhones as well.
Get Notifications Easily
The most important notifications like the calls you have missed, messages received or others alerts will be present on the screen with just tap of a button. Press the side keys and the most important updates will be flashing on the screen.
Notifications from a single application will be available in an integrated stack. If you wish to go through the details you can click on it and if you wish to discard it just swipe left or right. This feature is definitely going to iOS much more user friendly.
Change in the design of the dialer, incoming call alerts, icons of the apps will also be appreciated. iPhone users are kind of getting bored of the same old designs. An overhaul in the design will be more than welcome.
Change Camera Settings
It would be great if iPhone users get the opportunity to change the settings of a particular photo while clicking it. This option is not present right now and we would like the Apple iOS developers to integrate this feature.
There should be option whereby all the files can be organized in a much better way so that the users can get access to them easily. If are forward for a special folder where the cloud and phone files are kept. Users can click on this folder and search for the file. If option for labeling the files with different colors is available it will be much more organized. This dark mode should be universally applicable to all the apps used in iPhone or iPad starting from messages, photo gallery, alarm, calendar etc.
These were some of the updates that we would like to see in iOS 12. When iOS 11 rolls out finally along with this year’s flagship iPhone, we would be able to provide detailed insight to our readers about the feature updates that we would love to see in iOS 12.
